Summer is here again and things have slowed down in the lounge. 

We have a couple new faces for you to come in and meet.  If you haven't been in to meet Holly, please make sure you stop by on any evening, Saturday through Tuesday.  She'll be here smiling and putting a smile on your face in the process!  Holly is a native Floridian who spent some time in Georgia.  She came to us as a part timer from West Marine, but soon came on board full time.  Make sure you get in to meet her.

Brenda comes to us from the frozen tundra.  She is from Wisconsin although she has spent a lot of time here on the Beach.  She has a lot of experience from running her own restaurant/bar up north.  She'll be here every Saturday in the lounge and will be cooking for you on Sunday evening.  She knows many of you already, so you'll feel right at home with her serving you.  She's also going to fill in over the summer as our regulars go on vacation.

Vicki will be filling in as we need her.  She has tended bar around Fort Myers Beach for several years.  She works at the Shamrock, also.  You'll recognize her as the one who needs to duck so that she doesn't hit her head on the wine glasses!  She also has a bright smile and great personality.

We want to remind you all that we are serving lunch and dinner every day again this summer.  Don't miss out on a good, reasonably priced and HOMEMADE dinner!!  We also have a new addition to the kitchen crew, Karen Stroesenruether.  Karen's lived on the Beach for many years and is familiar with lots of our members.  She'll be serving you on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, so come in for one of our great meals!

Remember to look at the calendar on the wall or pick up a copy of it in the lounge so that you can keep up on our summer activities, including the Luau the Auxiliary is putting on on June 12.  We'll be starting around 3 pm with special food, drinks and fun.  Costume prizes and some very special Hula dancers will make this something you won't want to miss!

We will be resurfacing the main lounge floors from June 13 through June 18.  The back lounge will be open and there will be afternoon munchies for you during that time.  We will still have Bingo, Mega Money, and Karaoke and will be back in the Main Lounge for Harry's great performance on Friday. 

Remember, this is your Legion.  If there is anything that you would like to suggest, just stop by the office or phone me at the Post and the House Committe and I will see what we can do.  If we all put our energy together, there's no telling what great ideas we can come up with!
